Happy New Year! From our little home office to wherever you’re reading this, we wanted to reflect on a meaningful year and share what’s ahead.

When we relaunched our little web app in March, we weren’t sure how it would be received. We’re thrilled and humbled by the kindness, encouragement, and engagement we’ve received. Your words about how our sounds have helped with focus, writing, studying and more have renewed our sense of direction. Your feedback has guided every change we’ve made.

What We Shipped in 2025

  • 12 new cafe tracks
  • 50+ additional tracks (Soundscapes, Brain Waves, Sound Colors, etc.)
  • A new interface to showcase our extended library
  • Stability and bug fixes based on your top feedback

We Listened, You Spoke, We Changed

Your feedback didn’t just guide features, it reshaped our approach entirely.

Several of you told us that ads on the free tier were distracting, pulling you out of the very focus we’re trying to create. You were right. While it certainly improved our bottom line, we realized advertising was antithetical to our mission. We want you in your best flow state, not constantly thrown out of it. So we’ve replaced ads with a simple daily time limit on the free tier — no longer ad-supported.

We also heard loud and clear: many of you don’t want additional tracks or features. You just want the original cafe sounds with no disruptions. So we’ve added a new, more affordable plan that gives you exactly that — just the classics, uninterrupted.

And for everyone who asked for a lifetime subscription? Expect it later this month!

What’s Next for 2026?

We’re bringing offline support, task timers, and eventually a relaunch of our mobile apps. We have these initiatives and more documented on our public roadmap. We’d love your input on what you want most.
